English as an Additional Language
We believe that every student should enjoy equality of access to a positive educational experience. We recognise that a student’s academic progress need not be affected detrimentally because of their command of the English language. English is the language of instruction and our school provides EAL support to students whose English language skills are less than proficient. Our EAL teachers provide extra English language instruction and/or curriculum support either in an inclusive or pull-out model. EAL teachers and subject teachers work closely together to ensure that key concepts, knowledge and skills are understood, acquired and applied by all EAL learners.
