Tuition and Fees Refund Policy

The tuition and school fees refund policy applies to all fee-paying students.

If you are considering, or have decided withdraw entirely or transfer to another school, you will need to know how this will affect your school fees. This policy provides essential information on tuition and school fees refunds.

The International School of Busan(ISB) policy on refunds for students withdrawing from ISB, whether voluntarily or by dismissal, is set forth below. Refundable and Non-Refundable school fees are as below and are irrespective of attendance.

1. Full Refund of tuition and school fees.

The cancellation will be accepted prior to A. Registration/Re-enrollment (Admission permission)     B. The first day of classes

  • New Students *: A student who has decided to not enroll after tuition and other school fees have been paid will receive 100% of tuition, school bus fee, Capital Development fee and Technology Development fee.  *A student who has never been enrolled at ISB

  • Returning students** : A returning student may cancel his/her re-enrollment for the new academic school year after tuition and other fees have been paid, ISB will retain the non-refundable re-enrollment fee only and any other refundable funds paid will be refunded in full.

**A student who has been enrolled at ISB.

2. Partial Refund of tuition and school fees.

Except as set of Article A&C a student who begins a semester(semi-annual) will be entitled to a partial refund of refundable school fees, on the following schedule:

The parents have a responsibility to check the refund deadlines. (please check the date with the finance team or your invoice)

  • 1st Semi-Annual : If you made a full yearly school fees and decided to withdraw in 1st semi-annual school period, the 1st semi-annual school fee rate will be charged and the balance will be refunded. Upfront payment (Annual payment) discount will not apply to those who withdraw in the school year.
  • 1st half of a Semi-annual : prorated refund, subject to an Administrative fee, 10% of refundable fees.

3. Non-Refundable tuition and school fees.

No refund will be made after 1st half of a semi-annual of any school fees.

*Note: Students applying for a leave of absence are not eligible for refunds.

Application for refund are to be submitted in writing using the official Request for Refund Form available from the Finance office in B building. To obtain a refund under this section, a student must officially withdraw in writing.
